Will MacKenzie is a History geek who loves to travel the world in the footsteps of those who came before us. Experiential travel is a cornerstone of his being, a way to set his soul free. As he puts it: "experiencing the world, its people, and their cultures is something that leaves me in awe everywhere I go. I have climbed to the peaks of the Andes to see Machu Picchu, delved into the depths of the Great Pyramid of Giza, prayed with Buddhist monks at Angkor Wat, and witnessed the roars of Spider Monkeys as the sun rose over the Mayan pyramids at Tikal. For me, experiential travel is a way of life – delving into another culture, a passion." MacKenzie is an avid SCUBA diver, having dived in 6 countries on 3 continents.
Experiential travel is an approach to traveling which focuses on experiencing a place by connecting with its history, people or culture. The opportunities for this type of travel are as varied as the people and places where they are found, they provide insight into the lives of a community through how they work, play, or live (either now or in the past).
TravelDew invites leaders in experiential travel to share their stories, insights, and unique perspectives. Thoughtful travelers have always sought out unique ways to learn about the places they visit, as this trend continues to grow, TravelDew connects the professionals who create these experiences.
